It was a fantastic community day with Foxford National School with local artist Bernadette Ruddy unveiled an art piece of The Libertad with a video to accompany the creation of the piece. The Brass and Reed band enriched the occasion and the CCE Admiral Brown Ceolthas joined us for the event also. Gina Laffey danced the night away and the Tango dancers and singers from Argentina were superb
The Club Argentos Irlandes had over 50 members present and it was great to see so many young people from Argentina have an opportunity to meet up, sing, dance and celebrate together
Argentina World Cup winner Alexis Mc Allister presented a signed Argentina jersey to the people of Foxford
A friend ship agreement between the Admiral brown Society and the Municipality Almirante Brown Adrogué signed in March 2024 was presented by Dara Calleary TD to the people of Foxford
We were delighted to have TD Dara Calleary, Cllr Cruise, Cathaoirleach John O Hara, Commander Heery, Irish Navy and Ambassador Cachaza, Chief of Staff Nicolas Vidal and dignitaries from the Argentine embassy and Una Byrne Longford/ Westmeath Argentine Association join us also.

As you are aware , We are anxious to work together to find a site to reinstate the Admiral Brown Museum in the town.. and we would like an opportunity to discuss same with you going forward. It is a hugely significant opportunity for our community, county and country to have this link with Argentinian communities
