St Patrick’s Weekend 2025 was a great weekend in Foxford with celebrations throughout the town culminating in the St Patrick Day parade was a resounding success. There were people and diaspora from all over the world in Foxford for the weekend
For the weekend in Argentina, Government Minister Jack Chambers was in Buenos Aires and laid a wreath at Admiral Browns grave in Recoletta Cemetery on behalf of the Irish government and its people
Here in Ireland, The Admiral Brown Society welcomed a group of Argentine visitors to Foxford for the weekend
The #clubargentinoirlandes is a group of Argentinians living and working in Ireland. They have formed a network for the 3000 Argentinians currently living and working in Ireland. A group of members and friends of the group visited Foxford for the weekend
A great weekend was had with a wonderful welcome and meal in the Moy hotel. The group then attending The Rambling house in the Admiral Brown Suite, hosted by the Admiral Brown Comhaltas and the Doherty Family.
They had an opportunity to sing dance and enjoy the rich culture in this talented group.
Then it was into Guirys bar for some Guinness and baby Guinness to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in style
We look forward to the commemorations of 248th anniversary of Admiral Browns Birth on Saturday 21st June 2025 and welcoming our Argentinian friends to Foxford again
